  Mikael ZoghbiMikael is the founder of Zoghbi Associates. Before founding his own consultancy in 2004, Mikael ran the Middle East practice of a global search firm, Heidrick & Struggles. Prior to this, he worked for Scandinavian Bank and Visa International in a variety of managerial and special project roles across the Middle East and North Africa for almost 20 years. His generalist background in corporate and retail banking has given him specific insights in the banking field, but more broadly into the many industrial and trading businesses which are active in the region. He has a particular interest in leadership characteristics and was instrumental in bringing world class leadership assessment to the Middle East. Mikael holds a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA from INSEAD. He studied Arabic at the American University in Cairo in 1978 and speaks Arabic, French and Swedish. He also established a bio-technology business in 1990, specialising in remediation of sports turf, ornamental lakes and waterways, and waste water. (see www.symbio.co.uk).
